Welcome to the online home of the Chicago Park District's performance troupe...The Hale Theatre Co.

Located on the city's southwest side, the company has been producing works for the stage for over 19 years.
Based out of the Hale Park Fieldhouse at 6258 W. 62nd Street in Chicago's Clearing neighborhood, The Hale Theatre Co. strives to bring the highest quality theatrical and musical productions to its patrons.
The company was founded in 1991, by Artistic Director Lauren J. Polenske, who is the instructor for the Play Production classes at Hale Park for the Chicago Park District .   Participants of every ability and experience level are invited to audition for each and every production.  The company performs from 4 to 7 productions each year, including our Spring musical which includes members of the Hale Teen Theatre and The Hale Childrens' Theatre when possible.

-Murph's bandage hanging half over his face and not where it's supposed to be during his confession-"Rumors"

-Queen picks up her paper to read her lines during Madrigal Dinner

-The bumbling foursome who could never remember the words or what they were doing during "Everybody Ought To Have a Maid"

-Impromptu acapella "La BAMBA" when radio didnt work

-When Amanda Poradzisz went out for the wrong number, danced half of it and ran off stage during anniversary show

-When Greg Bzdon fell off the platform during HTC 20

-When Michelle Ho said the dying soldier "didn't know he was coming.....didn't know he was going...

-Car Honk sound effect instead of toilet flush during "Rumors"

-Chaotic Mic Handoffs during 20th anniversary show

-Record player not on stage for "La Bamba" cue-"Rumors"

-Murph changing into his PJ's prematurely-realizing it just in time to run into bathroom and change back into full camoflage and entering

-No "La Bamba" sound cue so cast sings it acapella onstage forcing Heather to ad-lib-"Will all of you shut up!!!"
